Syed Ali Abbas [https://www.linkedin.com/in/syedaliabbashr/] is the Chief Strategy Officer of Epitome Global, a next-generation employability technology, services and analytics company headquartered in Singapore. Epitome [https://epitome.global/] is an employability technology, services and analytics company. It was founded in Singapore in mid-2016 as CXS International and won the Alibaba Cloud Startup contest held in Malaysia in 2017. After initial success in the talent assessment and analytics space; they expanded into learning management systems and learning experience platforms. In this role, he is responsible for company strategy, people, partnerships and corporate matters. Previously, Abbas was the Group HR Director for Global Fashion Group (GFG), a global portfolio of fashion e-commerce startups in various regions of the world including ZALORA in Asia. Abbas also served as the Chief HR Officer for the Pacnet Group, a leading Asian telecom and data centre operator, and Executive Director of HR (the Asia Pacific and India) for AT&T Inc, a leading Fortune 500 company. In addition to his day job, Abbas serves as a member of both the Executive Council of the Singapore Human Resources Institute and the Board Nominations Committee of AWWA Limited. He volunteers as a Mentor at the Workplace Accelerator, South East Asia's premier startup accelerator exclusively focused on the Future of Work. Abbas is also an angel investor focused on the "people tech" space, advises early-stage companies on strategy and advises large corporates on HRtech decisions.
